Speaking of lemons

I learned a few lemon tips today. Such as, a lemon will yield twice as much juice if you freeze it before squeezing. And putting salt on a lemon half will clean the lime buildup off sinks and faucets.

For more fun lemon facts, and to read the first chapter of author James Watkins' new book, Squeezing Good Out of Bad -- with a lovely lemon cover, I might add -- check it out here.

Note: Hop over to Works for Me Wednesday to read ideas, ideas, ideas galore. Really, if you can get through all of them, you are truly amazing.

Hi Lynn, thanks for stopping by and for your suggestions. Funny thing is I was already planning on making some of your great looking recipes. I'd actually written down the ones you suggested in your message, well accept for the fondue because although Brad and I would love it, the little one HATES swiss cheese with a passion and anything too hot in temperature too. I had the quiche written down instead. Can't wait to try them and I'll link to you when I do!

I didn't know anything about freezing a lemon! It has always annoyed me how little of the juice I can squeeze out! When I make my famous lemonade I slice the lemons real thin and that seems to help. Hope to see you at the Tasty Tuesday party!
