Dude? The cranberries in a cranberry muffin recipe are so not supposed to coagulate at the bottom of the pan. Otherwise you have to rename them Just Plain Muffins made in Cranberry Goo Muffin Tins.
The recipe said to put the chopped cranberries into the muffin tin first, then add butter and brown sugar, then spoon the batter on top. "Neat!" I thought. "I've never done it that way before!" Now I know why.
Haha... that's a bummer. I find that whenever i put chocolate chips in muffins and breads they tend to sink, but not that bad. Wine some, lose some I guess.
I cook, bake, eat chocolate, and sneak out to Starbucks from northern California, where I live with my family. I wrote a book, Queen of the Castle: 52 Weeks of Encouragement for the Uninspired, Domestically Challenged or Just Plain Tired Homemaker, because I think running a home and loving your family is one of the most important jobs in the world. And some of us? Could use a little help.

This made me smile - because I've had these kinds of flops too but never thought I would ever laugh about it! Thanks.
