Chocolate Oranges
Well I knew you could do this with strawberries.
And I knew you could do this with cherries.
And now I know you can do this with oranges, too
.
Chocolate-covered orange slices. Just peel and segment an orange, careful to remove as much of the white pith as possible without breaking the membrane. Melt a square or two of semi-sweet baking chocolate and dip away. Place on wax paper-lined plate and refrigerate 10 minutes until hardened.
Any other good ideas for chocolate dipping? Because a girl can never have too many chocolate options.

Too bad we already ate 6 trees of oranges this year. I do have lemons, I somehow don't think it would taste the same.
Just raisins or cranberries. That would be pretty good or almonds.
Oh gosh. Chocolate cherries? Why have I never thought of that??
Chocolate dipped pound cake pieces are yummy! :)
I'll need to do a bit of thinking on the chocolate dipping. I've seen some interesting chocolate dippers for fondue parties...let me think on it...
In the mean time, you are absolutely right Lynn. National Kahlua Day is February 27th! Try this link. I posted a few recipes last year. Good Luck! And, please, please share...
Thanks for the ideas, Farm Girl and Meg. Chocolate almonds. Chocolate pound cake. Yum.
Louise, I can't wait to try some of those Kahlua recipes with my homemade coffee liqueur. Somehow I thought you might have some ideas up your sleeve. And there really IS a National Kahlua Day. Of course. And of course you'd know about it. Thanks for sharing your amazing food knowledge with the rest of us.
Have fun Lynn, and don't forget to share.
I can't wait to hear about your homemade coffee liqueur recipe!!!
Great tasty recipe I am going to try this soon; you have to dip wedges of bosc pears;really good.
Thank you for dropping by.
HAve a nice weekend.
Rita
These sound awesome! I think chocolate-covered anything must be delicious.
Pretzels, most any fruit, marshmellows, grahm crackers and angel food cake are always popular with our guests. Bananas work too if firm and fully covered with chocolate but don't hold long.
Chocolate makes everything better!
Mmm, thanks for the ideas, everyone. I must try pears, Rita. I'll bet they're fabulous. Innkeeper Seely, I've tried pretzels and marshmallows in chocolate fondue; I'll bet they'd be good dipped this way, too. And graham crackers!! Great idea.
chocolate covered blueberries and blackberries! (I've done these at home)
Trader Joe's makes some chocolate covered crystallized ginger that is really really good too.
I like chocolate pistachio apricots. Easy to dip since it's only half.. yum http://dyingforchocolate.blogspot.com/2010/10/chocolate-pistachio-apricots.html
Oh yum, Berji's Domain and Janet. Dipped blueberries/blackberries -- I must give that a try. And the apricots with the pistachios look so festive. I believe there is lots more dipping in my future.
What a fun way to get my kids to eat fruit for dessert.
Hi Lynn! I'm so glad you left a comment on my blog so I could find yours! It's good to meet you too. I can't wait to read more of your recipes. I'm great at buying cookbooks. Not so much when it comes to using them, but if they're easy enough...
:)
Looking forward to getting to know you through blogworld.
