Fun Fact
What
do you get when you combine this
with this?

According to the highly entertaining book, Something from the Oven: Reinventing Dinner in 1950s America by Laura Shapiro, "In 1953 (International Harvester) put out both a refrigerator and freezer trimmed with plaid fabric slipcovers. Plaid kitchen curtains completed the ensemble, and a selling point was the ease with which housewives could redecorate simply by changing to new fabric."
Well what do you think of that?

Well now, I might have to think about this one! LOL. I had thought maybe camo fabric, then it would be hidden and no one would even realize it was there! LOL
Hmmm, I think pink polka dots would go well with my old (and I do mean OLD) YELLOW countertops, don't ya think? LOL!
I liked the nice canister lids in a recent post but these are.... word fail.
Now I'm wondering why that fabulous idea didn't take off?
I worked for International Harvester for 28 years, and when we moved into Hubby's family farmhouse, there was an old International freezer out in the summer kitchen. I had never heard that they had made appliances until then! (but I certainly never heard about the slipcovers! that's funny!)
