About Me
- Name: Lynn
I cook, bake, eat chocolate, and sneak out to Starbucks from northern California, where I live with my family. I wrote a book, Queen of the Castle: 52 Weeks of Encouragement for the Uninspired, Domestically Challenged or Just Plain Tired Homemaker, because I think running a home and loving your family is one of the most important jobs in the world. And some of us? Could use a little help.

Even with real butter and salt and pepper?
Well, I'm not a huge fan of cooked spinach either unless it's in lasagna or soups. It's better for you 'raw' anyways! It sure is yummy in a strawberry salad.......
SAH in Suburbia, I'd love your recipe for strawberry salad, if you'd care to share . . .
I AGREE 100%...it's like eating dirt. I do however enjoy brussels sprouts (but with lots of olive oil and garlic).
Yes, there has to be room in the budget for Starbucks! I can cut-back, but not cut-out.
Hi and thanks for stopping by my blog!
I'm 100% right there with you. I just tried it again because I tried a recipe from Giada and it looked so good on tv. I hated it!
I'll be stopping by again- love your blog.
I agree. But my husband and girls love cooked spinach. So, I cook it and try to eat just a little bit. But I just can't like it.
I love cooked spinach but you have to buy the prewashed baby spinach because of the sand. You'll never be able to wash that stuff out.
My favorite is sautee onion & garlic in olive oil then toss in the spinach. To sweeten it up a bit sometimes I like to drain it on a paper towel after it is cooked. Add about 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar to the pan & reduce. Yummy!
I really need to learn to use punctuation obviously. Sorry.
Well, Michele, maybe I'll try your version and cook the spinach JUST A LITTLE BIT. But my yesterday's experiment was truly awful. After half a bowlful of the stuff, I had to reward myself with an ice cream sundae.
Hi Lynn! I'm with you! Can't stand the slimey stuff BUT I will eat it in a salad!lol I don't care what Popeye says! The old cartoon one not the new chicken place!!!lol Jeannette (I just had to see what a spinach comma was!lol)
Hi!
I must admit it does look good! But I don't like spinach, cooked or otherwise! Have a great evening!
Sherrie
I never used to like spinach, but now I like it in any form. My daughter likes it cooked but not raw and my son likes it raw, but not cooked.
Me neither. I do like it fresh in salads, though.
