The Ultimate Blog Party

Welcome to my happy little kitchen, where I love to bake killer garlic cheese rolls, steam salmon in my dishwasher, and creatively use up all those heaps of leftover Thanksgiving mashed potatoes.

I started blogging about six months ago. It seemed like a great alternative to bombarding friends and family with recipe-filled emails.

I also hoped to be on the receiving end of tried and true favorites from other bloggers and food lovers. Thankfully, that part has worked out swimmingly. Through this blog I've discovered Molly's Outstanding Spinach Salad, DarcyLee's Molasses Oatmeal cookies, Jana's Fried Rice, and many other new favorites.

Happy sigh.

My biggest blogging challenge has been sticking to food. A part of me really wants to tell everyone that we had to put our 12-year-old yellow Lab down down two weeks ago. Or to show you the crazy quilt project I'm making from leftover fabric scraps. But I am valiantly trying to stick to topic, which means my best alternative is coming to visit you at your quilting, book-loving, home-loving blogs.

So welcome, I hope you'll stay and poke around a bit, and remember, anytime you come across a great recipe that's simple, fun, tasty, or chocolate-filled, I hope you'll think of me.

And share.

Sharing is good. We like sharing.
Note: To go see who's making all those merry noises at the blog party, check it out here. All kinds of prizes are being offered. March 27 is the end date.

Lynn,

I am so, so sorry about your sweet dog. Labs are one of my very favorite breeds.

As if you need one more thing to do, you could always start another blog about quilting or anything else you want (hee, hee!).

I just finished your book (Loved it!) and I'm going to blog about it in the near future. Have a wonderful week, my friend!

Oh, there's no reason why you have to stick to topic. Blog what's on your heart and let it develop with you. I felt like I had to stick to organizing, and my hands kept typing other words. Be who you are, and the readers will like it all the same! I have a section on recipes on my blog also. They are my own recipes that I have made up! So, they are special! Now, you'll have to come back. Nice meeting you and thanks for coming to my blog.

Hello, thanks for the comment over at my blog! Maybe we will have to actually find someone who LIKED "The Shack" to figure out what the big deal is. Great site! I also live in Northern California, as of recently, and LOVE to cook. Lately, I have been experimenting a lot and it has been extremely hit or miss. For example, this evening I attempted a sweet potato soup that turned out to be absolutely disgusting. Hopefully, I will get some "hit" recipes from your site!

Thanks for popping over to my blog. I know, I agree, there are beads for everyone and everything!! And for such little items those puppies can get expensive!!! One time I needed 50 of one beads, they only sold them individual and were 15 cents a piece, 7.50 for 50 beads is expensive to me, on top of the other beads I needed lol..
Good luck in the giveaway!!

I was hooked once I read the first sentence in your about me section! Cooking, baking, eating chocolate and going to Starbucks! We have all that in common!!! I'll definitely be back, was so nice "meeting" you! and, I think since it's your blog, you can talk about whatever you want :) Why not talk about your life above a recipe? Sounds good to me!

Oh, Lynn, I am so sorry to hear about your beloved pet dying. Our wonderful 12 yr. old Australian shephard died 18 months ago so I know exactly how you feel.

Re. your blog. I'd love to hear about the other facets of your life, along with your recipes. Why don't you do what Pioneer Woman does and have different tabs on your blog for different subjects? Of course, I have no idea how to do that, but hopefully it's something you could find out how to do! :)

Regards, Sandra
