not in a long time. I used to keep it in my fridge. I was hoping you had some helpful hints. I keep going to make some just for sourdough pancakes.
I guess I would say let it start working before you put it in the fridge and don't forget to feed it. :)

Kudos to you Lynn!

I wish I could give you some hints but alas, you know me and bread, lol..(although I have no excuse for the lack of sourdough baking since it doesn't contain yeast which I'm allergic too) However, I have a board on Pinterest filled with sourdough stuff including hints.

Sourdough seems to work the same way as making yogurt which basically needs time and patience. I have a feeling you're going to LOVE it! So versatile too!!! Here's the link if you want to check out the board. You don't have to be on Pinterest to see it or click through to the sites:)

Good Luck! have FUN! and do let us know how you're doing.

P.S. let me know if you need some cookbook guidance on sourdough.

Thank you, Farm Girl and Louise. Sour dough bread is baking as I type this :) We shall see how it turns out. Love all the ideas you've gathered on your Pinterest page, Louise. Is there ANYTHING food-related you don't know about? ;) I think not!

Well this, my first attempt, was ok, just ok. The bread tasted a lot like regular white bread. Maybe I needed to let it "percolate" on the kitchen counter a bit longer before using? Will have to try again another time. Onward and upward in the kitchen ;)
