  3. That is a very cute carrot! Looks like a couple in an embrace! We never have luck with carrots...our soil is too rocky.

  4. That one stymied the bunnies - maybe you'll get a whole crop of carrot lovers?

Hey - I meant to ask you. I read somewhere that you can eat daylily petals and that they taste delicious with a chive cream cheese dollup. Can this be true?!

  5. I have never heard that about daylilies, The Bumbles, but if you try it you must report back. I have heard that nasturtium flowers are edible, and also pansies, but haven't tried that either. Have you? Anyone else have any experience with edible blooms?

  7. Very cute carrot Lynn. Sweet and sexy! Woo Hoo! Edible blossoms...my grandmother used to pick the closed zucchini flowers. Dip them in egg and milk, coat them with bread crumbs and pan-fry. Yum!

  9. Pam, your grandma's fried zucchini blossoms sound really tasty. I should see if I can sneak off with some of my neighbor's zucchini blossoms and try it ;)

  10. I love all those weird creations that we find in the garden! Carrots especially have some strange shapes - yours remind me of ballroom dancers!
