Don't care how good it is for me.

  1. Even with real butter and salt and pepper?

Well, I'm not a huge fan of cooked spinach either unless it's in lasagna or soups. It's better for you 'raw' anyways! It sure is yummy in a strawberry salad.......

  2. SAH in Suburbia, I'd love your recipe for strawberry salad, if you'd care to share . . .

  3. I AGREE 100%...it's like eating dirt. I do however enjoy brussels sprouts (but with lots of olive oil and garlic).

Yes, there has to be room in the budget for Starbucks! I can cut-back, but not cut-out.

  4. Hi and thanks for stopping by my blog!
I'm 100% right there with you. I just tried it again because I tried a recipe from Giada and it looked so good on tv. I hated it!
I'll be stopping by again- love your blog.

  5. I agree. But my husband and girls love cooked spinach. So, I cook it and try to eat just a little bit. But I just can't like it.

  6. I love cooked spinach but you have to buy the prewashed baby spinach because of the sand. You'll never be able to wash that stuff out.

My favorite is sautee onion & garlic in olive oil then toss in the spinach. To sweeten it up a bit sometimes I like to drain it on a paper towel after it is cooked. Add about 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar to the pan & reduce. Yummy!

I really need to learn to use punctuation obviously. Sorry.

  7. Well, Michele, maybe I'll try your version and cook the spinach JUST A LITTLE BIT. But my yesterday's experiment was truly awful. After half a bowlful of the stuff, I had to reward myself with an ice cream sundae.

  10. I never used to like spinach, but now I like it in any form. My daughter likes it cooked but not raw and my son likes it raw, but not cooked.

  11. Me neither. I do like it fresh in salads, though.
